Our Guests Speak

Of course, we believe that a visit to the Carson Log Cabin is inspiring, refreshing and relaxing. The cabin is a part of our family and our mountain heritage. Our guests agree. In fact, we are pleased that our cabin has become a tradition for many people.
The mountains of North Carolina have inspired beautiful writings throughout the centuries. Often, our guests experience that same inspiration during a stay at the cabin. That's why we leave a journal by the fireplace for guests to share their thoughts. Feel free to browse some of the messages left behind in the Carson Log Cabin journal by recent visitors to the cabin.

"We came here to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. This was the perfect getaway for just the two of us. Thanks!"

"Thank you so much for letting us spend our honeymoon in this beautiful cabin. We really enjoyed the view. We are planning to come back very soon."

"Both of us feel that this is one of the best equipped, cleanest and nicest places we have ever stayed. Being close to nature in beautiful Ashe County is about as good as it gets and we plan to return."

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful! We plan to come back without the kids! The cabin made our trip one we will always cherish. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness."

"We really enjoy the peacefulness of the area. We saw a lot of wildlife from the balcony. The tub was wonderful! We hope to see you again soon."

"Very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. Especially enjoyed the view through the large windows. Very quiet and nice place to get away from business. Enjoyed the surrounding countryside and restaurants. Cabin is beautiful and cozy."

"What a beautiful, restful, cool weekend--as usual! You must have had some rain. The New River was up and fishing was good."

"We played a little golf and did some hiking. Saw deer down at the New River Park and a newborn calf down the road. This was a relaxing long weekend!"

"We came here for a second honeymoon. We were thrilled with the porch view. The peace and quiet filled us with joy. We toured the surrounding countryside to our heart's delight. The cabin is far more spacious than it appears. We shall be sharing our experience with everyone back home. Maybe, they, too, will come for a refreshing stay."

"We had a great time in your cabin. Johnny heard the turkeys and saw a raccoon in the big pine tree off the porch. We had a very peaceful night and enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch in the morning. We are on the porch now...there is a gentle rain falling and we are watching the pine trees sway. It is so good to get away from the hustle and bustle of Charlotte. The cabin is so pretty especially the tile floors and the carvings on the stair rails. Thank you for providing such a nice place. We hope to be back!"

"We couldn't have picked a better place for our honeymoon! Completely perfect! Thanks for everything."

"We have really enjoyed our stay in your cabin. This was way more than we expected. This place is beautiful and perfectly located. Thank you so much for your kindess and hospitality."
